With the taste of a chocolate chip cookie and consistency of a brownie, these are a special family favorite!
⅔ c butter
2 c brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3 eggs
¼ c milk
2½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
2¾ c flour
12 oz chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Cream butter and brown sugar together (soften or melt butter first). Add vanilla, eggs, and milk and mix until lighter in color. In separate bowl, combine dry ingredients then add in installments to wet ingredients. Fold in chocolate chips.
Lightly grease with Pam (or other non-stick spray) a jelly roll pan (the large, flat sheets with sides we call cookie sheets) and pour in dough. Spread to corners. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
Yields: about 24 bars
Time to make: about 45 minutes
