Mom’s Meatloaf
1 1/2 lbs of ground beef
1 cup milk
1 beaten egg
2/3 cup oats or 2 pieces of bread crumbled
1 tsp worchestershire sauce
1/2 onion grated
1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
1/4 + tsp pepper
1/2 tsp salt
Sauce
1/2 C ketchup
1/4 C brown sugar
2 tsps mustard
1/8 tsp nutmeg
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Blend sauce ingredients together. In a separate bowl, gently mix all loaf ingredients until thoroughly combined. Loosely load mixture into a loaf pan, then spread sauce over the top, reserving extra for serving at the table.
Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until sauce is hot and bubbling and meat loaf is cooked through (test for doneness).
Time to make: 50-60 minutes
