Sunday Dinner Rolls

1 cube butter
1 1/2 c hot water
1/2 c powdered milk
1/4 c sugar
1 tbsp yeast
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
3 c flour
1 egg

Melt butter in mixing bowl. Add all but flour and egg in mixer and then add 1 1/2 c flour. Beat 2-3 min. Add egg. Beat 1 min. Add another 1 1/2 c flour until dough is sticky. Allow to rise 30-40 min (or overnight in fridge).

Preaheat oven to 350°F. Roll out and form rolls. Let rest 15 min. Bake for about 14 minutes for Pam’s blonde rolls, or 16-18 minutes for Josh’s “burned” rolls, or until they reach your favorite golden shade.

Time to make: about 1 ½ hour, or overnight
