Sugar-Rimmed Cups & Other Garnish

Sugared Cups

corn syrup
granulated sugar (white – or you can buy colored granulated sugar, but since it’s a little pricey you may want to blend it with white sugar to stretch it)
pretty cups

Pour a small amount of corn syrup onto a small, flat dish, and have sugars ready in wide, shallow bowls. Dip cup, rim-down into syrup and swirl just a little to coat. Lift and allow excess to drip off. Gently dip sticky rim in sugar, with a rolling movement (to coat both inside and outside of the rim). Ta Da!

Note: Sugar will begin to dissolve if left too long, so drinks should be served in sugared cups immediately.
