{"id":1034,"date":"2009-10-11T23:38:32","date_gmt":"2009-10-11T23:38:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/groo.wordpress.com\/?p=1034"},"modified":"2009-10-11T23:38:32","modified_gmt":"2009-10-11T23:38:32","slug":"cherry-almond-crisp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/groo.4ever.family\/recipes\/2009\/10\/11\/cherry-almond-crisp\/","title":{"rendered":"Cherry-Almond Crisp"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This recipe is based on a combination of recipes from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pcfma.com\/cbviewrecipe.php?id=1161963862\">Pacific Coast Farmers&#8217; Market<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/allrecipes.com\/Recipe\/Fresh-Cherry-Crisp\/Detail.aspx\">allRecipes.com<\/a>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Crisp<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2\/3 cup whole almonds, chopped<br \/>\n1\/4 teaspoon almond extract<br \/>\n1\/2 cup all purpose flour<br \/>\n1\/3 cup (packed) golden brown sugar<br \/>\n1\/3 cup old-fashioned oats<br \/>\n1\/8 teaspoon salt<br \/>\n1\/4 cup (1\/2 stick) chilled unsalted butter, diced<\/p>\n<p><strong>Filling<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>4 cups pitted bing cherries<br \/>\n1 1\/2 cups white sugar<br \/>\n4 tablespoons all-purpose flour<\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 375\u00b0F.<\/p>\n<p>In a large bowl, combine cherries, 1 1\/2 cups white sugar, and 4 tablespoons flour. Pour into 9&#215;13 inch baking dish.<\/p>\n<p>Place almonds in medium bowl. Sprinkle with almond extract; toss to coat.  Mix in flour, brown sugar, oats and salt. Add butter and rub in with fingertips until mixture resembles coarse meal.<\/p>\n<p>Sprinkle topping over fruit.
