{"id":1084,"date":"2009-10-12T03:50:13","date_gmt":"2009-10-12T03:50:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/groo.wordpress.com\/?p=1084"},"modified":"2009-10-12T03:50:13","modified_gmt":"2009-10-12T03:50:13","slug":"black-bean-beef-chili-with-sun-dried-tomatoes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/groo.4ever.family\/recipes\/2009\/10\/12\/black-bean-beef-chili-with-sun-dried-tomatoes\/","title":{"rendered":"Black Bean &#038; Beef Chili with Sun-Dried Tomatoes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more-->\u00bd lb lean ground beef<br \/>\n1 large onion, diced<br \/>\n2 cloves garlic, minced<br \/>\n3 (15oz) cans black beans, drained<br \/>\n1 (28oz) can tomato puree<br \/>\n\u00bd cup sun-dried tomatoes (in oil), chopped<br \/>\n1 cup salsa<br \/>\n2 tbsp chili powder<br \/>\n2 tsp oregano<br \/>\n1 tsp ground cumin<br \/>\n\u00bd tsp ground black pepper<\/p>\n<p>Preheat a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Brown beef until no longer pink (about 5 minutes); drain.  Add onion and garlic and sate until soft (about 5 minutes).  Add beans, tomato puree, sun dried tomatoes, salsa, chili powder, oregano, cumin, and pepper.<\/p>\n<p>Bring to a boil, cover and lower heat; simmer gently for at least 20 minutes until thoroughly heated. Add hot sauce to desired heat preference. Serving suggestion: Top with shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream.
