{"id":1226,"date":"2009-10-16T05:31:12","date_gmt":"2009-10-16T05:31:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/groo.wordpress.com\/?p=1226"},"modified":"2009-10-16T05:31:12","modified_gmt":"2009-10-16T05:31:12","slug":"chicken-tomatoes-with-rice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/groo.4ever.family\/recipes\/2009\/10\/16\/chicken-tomatoes-with-rice\/","title":{"rendered":"Chicken &#038; Tomatoes with Rice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more-->1 lb chicken<br \/>\n1 Tbsp + 1 Tbsp soy sauce, divided<br \/>\n1 Tbsp water<br \/>\n1 Tbsp corn starch<br \/>\n1\/2 c + 2 Tbsp oil, divided<br \/>\n1 c onion, rough chopped<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp salt (optional)<br \/>\n1 tsp sugar<br \/>\n1\/2 c chicken stock<br \/>\n2 medium tomatoes, peeled and cubed<br \/>\ncooked rice<br \/>\nsesame seeds (optional)<\/p>\n<p>Cut uncooked chicken into one inch squares.  In a large skillet, place 1 Tbsp soy sauce and \u00bd cup oil and turn heat to med-high.  Saut\u00e9 chicken until tender (approx 5 minutes).  Add onion and fry a few seconds.  Drain chicken and onion and set aside.  Reheat pan and add 2 Tbsp of oil, 1 Tbsp soy sauce, salt, sugar, and chicken stock.  Whisk together corn starch and water, and add to pan.  Bring to a boil, and add chicken and onions, as well as tomatoes.  Serve hot over rice.
