In an old cookbook of 19th-century recipes, she found this super simple casserole that turned out to be a hit at the party!<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>3 lbs sweet potatoes (cooked, peeled, &amp; mashed)<br \/>\n1\/4 cup brown sugar<br \/>\n3 Tbsp butter<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp cinnamon<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp nutmeg<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp salt<br \/>\n1 cup milk (cream is even better)<\/p>\n<p>Combine ingredients except for 2 Tbsp of the brown sugar. Put into a greased casserole, then sprinkle with remaining brown sugar.
