{"id":483,"date":"2009-09-21T02:24:36","date_gmt":"2009-09-21T02:24:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/groo.wordpress.com\/?p=483"},"modified":"2009-09-21T02:24:36","modified_gmt":"2009-09-21T02:24:36","slug":"clam-chowder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/groo.4ever.family\/recipes\/2009\/09\/21\/clam-chowder\/","title":{"rendered":"Clam Chowder"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more-->3-4 potatoes, peeled &amp; diced<br \/>\n3 stalks celery, chopped<br \/>\n1\/2 medium onion, diced<br \/>\n2 cans of clams, diced<br \/>\n1\/2 lb butter<br \/>\n1 1\/4 c flour<br \/>\n2 c milk + 1 3\/4 c milk<br \/>\n1 1\/2 c half &amp; half<\/p>\n<p>Boil potatoes, celery, onion, and clams in a water until veggies are tender.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, melt butter in a large saucepan and stir in flour until smooth.  Whisk in 2 cups milk and all the half &amp; half and continue to stir over medium heat until white sauce begins to thicken.  When veggies &amp; clams are done, drain them and add to sauce, also stirring in the remaining milk.
