{"id":515,"date":"2009-09-22T04:28:49","date_gmt":"2009-09-22T04:28:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/groo.wordpress.com\/?p=515"},"modified":"2009-09-22T04:28:49","modified_gmt":"2009-09-22T04:28:49","slug":"lemon-merange-pie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/groo.4ever.family\/recipes\/2009\/09\/22\/lemon-merange-pie\/","title":{"rendered":"Lemon Merange Pie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more--><strong>Pie<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1 c sugar<br \/>\n3 Tbsp cornstarch<br \/>\n1 1\/2 c cold water<br \/>\n3 beaten egg yolks<br \/>\nzest of 1 lemon<br \/>\n1\/4 c lemon juice<br \/>\n1 Tbsp butter<br \/>\n1 baked pie shell<\/p>\n<p><strong>Merange<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>3 egg whites<br \/>\n1\/8 tsp cream of tarter<br \/>\n1\/3 c sugar<\/p>\n<p>For pie filling: Cook sugar, cornstarch, and water until liquid is clear.  Add beaten egg yolks and bring to a boil, and cook for one more minute.  Add zest, juice, and butter, stirring until blended smooth.  Pour mixture into pie shell.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate bowl, beat egg whites and sugar half-way to necessary consistency, stir in cream of tartar, then finish beating and add to top of pie.
