{"id":83,"date":"2009-09-01T23:36:42","date_gmt":"2009-09-01T23:36:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/groo.wordpress.com\/?p=83"},"modified":"2009-09-01T23:36:42","modified_gmt":"2009-09-01T23:36:42","slug":"pasta-e-fagioli","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/groo.4ever.family\/recipes\/2009\/09\/01\/pasta-e-fagioli\/","title":{"rendered":"Pasta e Fagioli"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--more-->Becky Jones stated one day in her facebook status that, \u201cBecky is making Pasta e Fagioli.\u201d It is a soup that Angie had tried once before and loved, so she asked for the recipe, and Becky was pleased to oblige!<\/p>\n<p>1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage<br \/>\n1 small onion, diced<br \/>\n1 large carrot, julienned<br \/>\n3 celery stalks, chopped<br \/>\n2 minced cloves of garlic<br \/>\n2 14-oz cans diced tomatoes<br \/>\n15 oz can red kidney beans<br \/>\n15 oz can cannelini (white beans)<br \/>\n15 oz can tomato sauce<br \/>\n12 oz. can V8<br \/>\n4 cups broth<br \/>\n1\u00bd tsp salt<br \/>\n1 tsp oregano<br \/>\n1 tsp basil<br \/>\n\u00bd tsp pepper<br \/>\n\u00bd tsp thyme<br \/>\n\u00bd lb ditali or ditalini pasta<\/p>\n<p>Brown beef or sausage in large pot and drain fat. Add onion, carrot, celery and garlic and saute 5-7 minutes.  Meanwhile cook pasta in separate pot according to directions on package. Add remaining ingredients to soup pot and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
